Took some of my Series 2 Zelfs to the park today to have some pictures taken. I really like the idea of animal Zelfs. Even the bugs look so cute!

So recently, I've started collecting Zelfs about 3 weeks ago and this was my initial haul:

As of today, I actually have 22 plus 9 more waiting to come in the mail ~_~ I know! I'm moving too fast with these things but they're just so addictive!

Apparently they're the new version of Troll Dolls but much cuter and more colorful! The ones I've gotten in this post are from Series 1. There are 4 series in total and they come in 3 different sizes - mini, medium and large. These are all medium sized.

They kinda look like imps to me (I think they are) and their Zelf Powers remind me alot of the Carebears. Their colors and markings on their bodies also remind me of My Little Pony. What had me sold was definitely their colors and funky hair :P

Each Zelf comes with a charm, 3 pink elastic bands, a comb and a collector's leaflet. The collector's leaflet contains some information about each Zelf. Here's a peek at Mermalade's:

Some Zelfs have wings and some don't. Lunanne and Buttershy both have fairy like wings while Pegu Sue and Angelala have angel-like wings. Notice the cute little Z marking on their bottoms!

Each Zelf has poseable arms and legs. You can also rotate its head. They're meant for kids, so nothing really fancy. They're quite economical if you live in the US or UK, but shipping elsewhere can be abit costly. Nevertheless, these colorful Zelfs are fun to display and can easily brighten up any room or shelf:

My Zaolls Are Home!

I'm so happy my Zaoll Luv twins came home just in time for Chinese New Year this week! I can't thank Meanae enough for the wonderful job she did on Abigail. She's absolutely stunning! <3

So happy with her look! I don't have any female clothing so she's wearing a male SD13 tank top. It's rather big on her but it'd do for now <3 I'm currently waiting on some custom orders from Monstro Designs and I can't wait for those to arrive! Abi shares the same dress style as me lol. I will write her backstory soon!

I don't have pictures of the other twin, Dakota, because I couldn't take nice photos of her :( But here's a link to Meanae's commission pics. I love the way Meanae did both their freckles and skin texture. They look so real!

Right now I'm having trouble deciding on Dakota's wig color. She's suppose to be the opposite of her sister (shy, demure, goody-two-shoes) so I don't think she dyes her hair.. Any suggestions? :)

Quick Update

Happy 2015 my fellow readers!

I have so much updating to do but I can hardly take new photos or spray paint because of constant rain and humidity the past months. I hope the rainy season passes soon so I can update my blog more :(

Meanwhile, I finally got my hands on my very first Nendoroid (Pokemon Trainer Red)! It was so frustrating trying to get it to stand and pose because of it's extremely large and heavy head so I only managed to get 1 good picture:

I really wish I had my own backyard to take photos in! I love using natural settings as backgrounds but I dread shooting outdoors. Whenever I take my toys outside, I feel that I always have to rush to avoid attracting attention from passer-bys. I'm just not comfortable with people stopping to stare or make comments about what I'm doing ;(

Question: Do you take photos of your figures outside? What are some of the challenges you face when shooting outdoors?

It's Christmas!

I recently received a package from my Christmas Swap with Courtney and wanted to share with you guys what she sent me ^^

It was a random figure swap so neither of us knew which critter we would be getting! To be honest, I had totally forgotten about having entered for the figure swap until I received an her package just last week! Thankfully Courtney is very understanding :'(

Anyway, the figure that I got from Courtney was little Bud Timbertop! Courtney was also ultra sweet to include some extra gifts: a red wagon, a roasted marshmallow on a stick and a Christmas wreath!

Thank yous o much Courtney! I love everything you sent me! They go very well together and fit perfectly into the Christmas theme – hence I decided to take a photo of everything she sent me along with my Father Christmas & Tree Set:
